Convergence of Opposites (2012)

I still cannot forget — or forgive — the moment when I was made to convert these works into black and white. They never functioned even half as powerfully without color.
So I decided to restore them to their full chromatic presence, as I had originally intended — and to give them the life they deserve.

Almost everything that surrounds us carries two opposing essences that often resemble one another. This series is built on the unity of polarities — on the attraction between opposites, and sometimes on their quiet struggle.

Envy / Altruism
What is Envy?
Is it when those who cannot “fly” try to cut the wings of those who long to look beyond the horizon? The urge to possess what one does not have?
Altruism, in contrast, is the willingness to give something precious for the sake of another.

Greed / Selflessness
What is Greed?
To me, it resembles a creature like a worm: emaciated at the top, tormented by insatiable hunger, yet swollen below from everything it has devoured. And still — it is never enough. Endless consumption for one’s own satisfaction, often at the expense of others.
Selflessness it's not a sacrifice, it's a gift. It's the lightness of being able to share with someone who needs it and not lose anything.

Hatred / Passion
Why Passion rather than Love?
Because love is already whole — complex and multilayered. Hatred and Passion are its most extreme tensions. Both erupt like an uncontrollable spark. And both inevitably fade, leaving only an echo behind.
